Haim - I Quit
Haim's I Quit marks the first full-length by the band since Women In Music Pt. III (2020). Produced by Danielle Haim and Rostam Batmanglij, the album showcases a raw, rock-infused sound, enshrined in three preluding singles: 'Relationships,' 'Everybody's Trying To Figure Me Out,' and 'Down To Be Wrong,' each accompanied by cover art works inspired by iconic celebrity paps. With cover art in turn snapped by film director and friend of the band Paul Thomas Anderson, the record seems to grapple at the tensions and paranoias of fame, with a surety found in big-bombast, Pixies-esque drums and shimmery pop vocals; all assurances of personal integrity, in the face of the many chafes and burns one risks when rubbing shoulders with stars.
