Knitting Factory releases a fiftieth anniversary edition of ‘Afrodisiac’, the 1973 album from Fela Kuti and his legendary backing band The Africa ‘70. Consisting of incendiary re-recordings done at the iconic Abbey Road Studios of 7”s after they had already become hits in Nigeria in the early Seventies, it contains ‘Jeun Ko Ku’, the first proper radio hit Kuti had had in that country.
