‘Caramba’ is Lee Morgan’s twenty-third album for Blue Note and was released in 1968. The album opens with the title track - a groove as cool as any pose the jazz trumpeter pulls in pretty much every photo. Elsewhere on the LP there’s some complex post bop, the unbridled joy of ‘Soulita’ and the effortless swing of ‘Helen’s Ritual’.
