Jlin - Akoma

Jlin's Akoma is in some ways the tale of a remarkable success story. Jlin went from math nerd and steel factory worker to being mentored by footwork pioneers RP Boo and DJ Rashad. Her debut Dark Energy album displayed a remarkable understanding and appetite for innovative rhythms and catapulted her into the electronic music world. Now on her third album, she has worked with Björk and crossed over into the realms of classical music with collaborations with Philip Glass and Kronos Quartet.
