Portico Quartet have had a long and varied career following the early Mercury-nominated success of their debut 'Knee Deep in the North Sea' back in 2007. Last year they released 'Terrain'  - a more minimal and ambient work but 'Monument' is the total opposite  - their most direct and accessible album to date which takes in krautrock, jazz, neo-classical and club-driven beats as the band make sense of whatever the hell has happened over the last couple of years.
