'La Planète Sauvage’, or ‘Fantastic Planet’ is a classic 1973 experimental sci-fi animated film directed by René Laloux. The equally classic soundtrack by Alain Goraguer has been re-imagined by electro-pop band Stealing Sheep (Heavenly) alongside the current incarnation of the legendary Radiophonic Workshop. The record is being issued in celebration of Delia Derbyshire Day, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop tape/electronic music pioneer, perhaps most famous for creating the Doctor Who theme.
