Blues legends Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder first played together in a short lived blues/folk combo called Rising Sons in 1965. For the first time since, the pair are reunited for ‘Get On Board’. The album is a collection of songs originally performed by southern folk/blues duo Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. Taj Mahal sees this album as the pair coming full circle, recording the music that inspired them as teenagers.
