Thurston Moore - Flow Critical Lucidity
Thurston Moore's ninth solo album, Flow Critical Lucidity, will be released by The Daydream Library Series. Written and arranged in Europe and the United Kingdom, the songs are inspired by nature, lucid dreaming, modern dance, and Isadora Duncan. The title Flow Critical Lucidity comes from a lyric in the single 'Sans Limites,' and the album cover features Jamie Nares' 'Samurai Walkman' - a helmet adorned with tuning forks. Jamie Nares, a lifelong friend of Moore from his New York No Wave days, has often collaborated with him in art and music. In 2023, Moore released singles 'Isadora,' inspired by Isadora Duncan and featuring Sky Ferreira, and 'Hypnogram,' praised for its cerebral quality. In April 2024, he shared the Earth Day anthem 'Rewilding,' reflecting on reducing human influence on ecosystems. The album features Moore on vocals and guitar, Deb Googe on bass, Jon Leidecker on electronics, James Sedwards on piano, organ, guitar, and glockenspiel, Jem Doulton on percussion, and Laetitia Sadier providing backing vocals on 'Sans Limites.'
